Twinstore tanks

Twinstore water drainage is a special type of stormwater tank that can deliver not just greater performance, but at lower cost than conventional systems. Developed in only 2008, it is now used throughout the UK.

Because of its greater compactness, Twinstore easily rivals cellular systems on space, at the same time as winning on structural integrity and maintainability.

Twinstore uses pipes in any diameter up to 3.6 metres in a lined bed of granular material. Instead of being sealed by our watertight gaskets to create a controlled discharge tank, the pipe ends allow water to pass out into the granular fill.

By balancing the ratio between tank and granular backfill, Twinstore reduces the overall excavation and cost. The bed is lined with an impermeable membrane. Geosynthetic clay liners are particularly suitable, as they seal on wetting.
