Pedestrian tunnels

Pedestrian tunnels and underpasses can be manufactured in either helibore pipe (up to 3.6m span/diameter) or bolted plate (up to 12m span/diameter). The common profiles are either underpass, pipe or arch.

A sealant gasket or gunned mastic can be incorporated in the plate overlaps of bolted plate systems to ensure a high degree of watertightness. The invert is normally paved with either blacktop or concrete to provide an even walking surface. The inside surface can also be painted with anti graffiti paint.
