Original product specification

Originally, a 314m³ attenuation crate system had been specified.

Our solution

In order to meet the requirements of the build, we installed a single run of 1400mm diameter pipe around the building which acted as a carrier pipe, we then combined this with an attenuation tank to collect the roof and surface water drainage.

The benefits of our solution
  • We eliminated the need for 11 manholes which were in the original specification
  • We reduced the excavation by 780mm across the site
  • We considerably reduced the amount of underground pipe work required
  • We installed a full retention separator downstream of the attenuation tank which provided further cost savings
